We’re delighted to share news of the successful bids for our fourth Eco Development Fund. We received 14 applications for a share of the £20,000 available of which nine matched the criteria, resulting in £14,134 being disbursed this week. Our busy network meeting at Bathgate Partnership Centre was the venue for the announcement – lovely pic of some of the team from Whitburn CDT here!

Successful projects include: the launching of a cloth nappy re-use and training scheme; introduction of solar and other renewable energy methods to boost community food growing; further trials for peat-free growing; a community fabric re-use and sewing programme; extension of several community gardens to reach further groups, increase knowledge of local food growing and climate mitigation practices.

Future funding rounds will be discussed in due course. In the meantime you can read the summaries of the projects being funded, and also about previous rounds, here.

Congratulations to all our successful applicants and we look forward to seeing how their fantastic community climate projects develop!
