Fire.
General themes: promoting the retrofit of homes and heat-efficient measures such as draught proofing, insulation and heat pumps, training on carbon literacy and the effects of fossil fuels on global temperature increases.
Our Fire category encompasses initiatives focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency. Within this category, we have four subcategories: Community Power Grids and Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Energy Efficiency. By investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency, we aim to create a more sustainable and resilient future for our communities and the planet.
Our Community Power Grids and Solar PV initiatives aim to promote the adoption of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to generate clean, renewable electricity. We support projects that install solar panels on homes, businesses, and public buildings, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to a sustainable energy future.
Our Battery Storage initiatives focus on the development and deployment of battery storage systems to store excess solar energy and other renewable energy sources. This enables us to store energy when it is abundant and use it when it is needed, improving energy reliability and resilience.
Our Energy Efficiency initiatives focus on reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency in homes. We support projects that implement energy-efficient technologies, such as insulation, efficient appliances, and smart thermostats, to reduce energy costs and environmental impact.
